Anomalous Origin of Right Coronary Artery with Malignant Course – Few Case Reports
Congenital anomalies of the coronary arteries are the important causes of morbidity and mortality associated with chest pain or sudden death. This clinical and hemodynamic significance makes the study of variations by using noninvasive imaging modalities like Multi Detector Computed Tomography Coronary Angiography (MDCT CA) and Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) for preoperative evaluation. In th...
متن کاملCoronary artery fistula: report of three cases.
Three children are described with a right coronary artery fistula communicating with a right heart chamber. Each had a continuous murmur like that of a patent ductus arteriosus but situated at a lower level. Aortography established the diagnosis and excluded any accompanying malformation. It is concluded that to prevent complications surgical treatment should be recommended.
متن کاملPercutaneous coronary intervention with anomalous origin of right coronary artery: case reports and literature review
Percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) in an anomalous right coronary artery (RCA) can be technically difficult because selective cannulation of the vessel may not be easy. We thereby present two cases with unstable angina pectoris of anomalous originated RCA. The PCI were successfully performed in two patients with a special guiding wire manipulating skill which we called "gone with the flow...
متن کاملAnomalous right vertebral artery arising from the arch of aorta: report of three cases
The right vertebral artery most commonly originates as the first branch of the right subclavian artery. Although anatomical variants of the aortic arch are commonly encountered on cross-sectional imaging, certain variants of the right vertebral artery are exceedingly rare. In this report, we present 3 cases of aberrant right vertebral artery arising as the last branch of the aortic arch, a very...
متن کاملInterarterial course of anomalous right coronary artery: Pathophysiology, diagnosis, and treatment
Anomalous coronary artery from the opposite sinus is a rare congenital anomaly that can present with symptoms similar to coronary artery disease, and sudden cardiac death. Management of anomalous coronary artery from the opposite sinus varies; however, current guidelines suggest surgery in symptomatic patients. Our patient is a middle-aged male with a history of coronary artery disease and stat...
